Work in South Louisiana. Must have passed the 6GR test prior to applying and have a minimum 7 years of welding experience. No 3g 4g welders need apply as you are not qualified for this procedure. $18/per hour and $40/per diem/per day worked. Also hiring 1st class journeyman Structural fitter/fabricators that can read, interpret and work off plans/prints without guidance. Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Welder Company: Location: Jacksonville, FL Description: A Global Communications company is searching for qualified Mechanical Assemblers/Welders in Jacksonville, FL. * Required travel includes some combat zones. * Military background preferred but not required. * Candidates must be able to successfully meet and maintain eligibility requirements to access classified information at Secret level. U.S. citizenship is therefore required. Mechanical Assembler/Welder Requirements: ? Assembles, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment and sub-assemblies ? Drills, taps, or reams holes using a drill press or portable hand drill. Aligns components, bolts and secures using hand tools or portable powered tools ? Installs moving parts and assemblies and checks for proper operation and freedom of movement ? Maintains and repairs hydraulic components ? May test, or assist in testing, in the proper operation of the completed product ? Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products ? Must be proficient in the following welding processes: MIG, TIG, ARC (Stick), Plasma Cutting, and Oxy-Acetylene ? Must be able to weld steel and aluminum of varying thicknesses ? Must be proficient in the use of hand tools that support welding and fabrication ?
