Job Title: WELDER / FITTER Company: Hunter International Inc Location: Amherst, NY Description: WELDER / FITTERNIGHT SHIFT, 5:30pm - 4:00am 4 days/week PURPOSE OF JOB: o Responsible for safe operation and care/maintenance of equipmento Tack and weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum in accordance with weldingcodes and specificationso Lay out, fit, tack and weld component members for system assemblieso Lay out stud and hole locationso Fit, tack and weld sub-assemblies such as splices, stainless steel sheet, plates,bars, rings and shipping deviceso Continuous welding of lengths using semi-automatic high deposition weldingprocesso Heat straighten bent, twisted or warped members to drawing or generaltoleranceso Set-up and operate portable radiograph burning machine and hand burningtorcheso Operate all fabrication equipment: saws, stud welders, ironworkers, benders,drill presses, punches, shot blaster and a variety of portable of hand toolso Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, tow motors and other material handlingequipmento Perform a variety of welding and fabricating operations on various fabricatedassembliesRequirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSo Ability to read and interpret shop drawingso AWS qualified - flat, horizontal and vertical in MIG, TIG and GMAWADDITIONAL INFORMATIONo Must work safely; especially in production and warehouse areaso Complete all work in conformance with Company and Department ISO 9001-2000 policies, procedures, and work instructions.o Utilize the CNC database to report complaints and potential non-conformances to support WBA continuous improvement efforts.o Support and adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and regulations as described in the WBA EH&S Employee Handbook as well as WBA specific safety guidelines and procedures.
