Job Title: SUPERVISOR MAINTENANCE Company: Lawson Products, Inc. Location: Reno, NV Description: Position Summary: Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing all functional and operational activities in plant maintenance which include: troubleshooting, repairs and projects. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for the local Safety Program and OSHA compliance.  Essential Functions:·         Plans, organizes and direct activities concerned with the maintenance of industrial equipment, machines, structures, facilities and systems in the facility. ·         Plan and organize work of department to minimize unplanned downtime of production equipment, machinery, facilities and systems. ·         Experience maintaining and implementing PM-schedules and OSHA standards.·         Repairs and/or replaces equipment as needed, to the highest standard of quality at optimum cost and reliability. ·         Inspect and review maintenance activities to monitor compliance with and safety and environmental codes, regulations, permits and company policies. Performs routine inspections to meet internal, OSHA and insurance requirements.  Detects and corrects safety issues. ·         Maintains high standards of housekeeping in the shop and plant areas where maintenance issues are performed. ·         Maintains a timely supply and inventory of materials  and spare parts as needed to insure uninterrupted or minimum downtime. Reviews supplies and consults manuals and blueprints. ·         Authorize requisitions for supplies and materials to complete maintenance projects. ·         Investigate damage, accidents, or unplanned downtime, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out. ·         Generate departmental plans to project equipment needs, forecasting manpower needs, generating training schedules for maintenance personnel and designing replacement parts for machinery and equipment. ·         Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems·         Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.·         Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.·         Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance·         Manage maintenance and capital projects. ·         Estimate materials or labor requirements for capital or maintenance projects.  Requirements:·         15 years of maintenance experience, 5 years in a leadership role·         Must have experience with setting up conveyor PM program·         Must have safety on OSHA experience·         Lean skills and “5-S” experience preferred·         Carousel experience a plus·         Electronics experience preferred·         Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously·         Able to work any shift or weekends for repairs unable to do during business hours This is a hands on position. The Maintenance Supervisor will have a helper for large projects but is expected to do the work. Applications/resumes will not be considered if they do not have salary history.See Job Description
