As required, attends annual code compliance and update training. Qualifications: This position requires knowledge typically associated with completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires two or more years of diversified work experience as a maintenance technician with demonstrated maintenance or related skills. Must be able to exercise independent decision making and judgment in the performance of all duties. Requires the ability to work safely and effectively with maintenance equipment. Must be proficient in reading and understanding related and required maintenance and construction documents. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.Requires working knowledge and certification as required of applicable regulatory codes, such as IBC, UBC, Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA, State and local building codes. Must be able to work effectively with commonly used office software programs. Vocational, Technical or Apprenticeship training. Previous construction experience is preferred. Previous healthcare Facilities Services experience is preferred.

This is a permanent position with a seasonal work schedule that allows you to work from mid-April or early May until mid-October each year. You will then be placed in non-pay status from approximately mid-October through mid-April of each year. You will be performing landscape, building and roadside maintenance for the Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project. You will mow lawns, prune and water trees and other plants in the compound and public areas. Using light equipment such as a small bobcat, chainsaw and hand tools, you will help with brush clearing as well as road and trail maintenance. You will also keep vehicles clean and maintained, split firewood, and you will assist during the flood control season with stream flow reports and help with dam operation during high water events.
