Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor for Marina Company: Location: Stockton, CA Description: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR FOR MARINA We currently have a Maintenance Supervisor position available at a 200+ slip marina on the Delta Loop just outside Isleton and Rio Vista. The marina is primarily occupied by sailboats and is located on a beautiful shoreline park. This is a ?hands on? position to organize, supervise and participate in the repair and maintenance of all systems and equipment used in the marina operation. Ideal candidate has experience and good working knowledge of construction, landscaping, equipment, boats and good people skills. Position is currently Tuesday ? Saturday 8:00am ? 4:30pm. Fridays and Saturdays are spent in the office filling in for the Marina Manager. Duties include answering the phone, meeting with current and potential customers, handling paperwork, taking money, writing receipts and showing slips to potential berthers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following reflects management?s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Supervise maintenance staff plus provide safety guidance and training when necessary. ? Perform and oversee the maintenance and repair of all marina systems (docks, shops, buildings, restrooms, showers, electrical, water system and grounds). Plan, schedule and perform projects. ? Have an understanding of and the necessary skills to maintain, troubleshoot and make minor repairs on tractor, lawnmower, aquatic harvester, ATV, outboard engine and pickup. Operate aquatic harvester to control aquatic weeds in slips and slough. ? Assist the Marina Manager with preparation of budget projections, periodic reporting and special events. ? Call vendors, comparison shop for repair parts, order parts, gather order and delivery paperwork in a prompt and accurate fashion and code the part delivery documents for payment. ? Act as a company representative with machinery and parts suppliers. OTHER FUNCTIONS: ? Attend and contribute to marina management meetings. ? Foster a cooperative working atmosphere with marina management, maintenance staff, outside construction crew and customers. WORKING CONDITIONS: ? The primary work site shall be located at the marina. ? Exposure to dust, fuels, chemicals and machinery. ? Exposure to variations in weather and temperature associated with working outside. ? Occasional Sunday work. ? Operation of marina and landscaping equipment plus familiarity with the operation of power tools (chainsaw, impact drill, electric saws.) ? Operation of a tractor, aquatic harvester, skiff and other company vehicles. ? May require heavy physical work. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Proven mechanical ability for the repair and maintenance of all systems, equipment and tools which shall include but not be limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing and hydraulic equipment. ? 3 + years of management experience ? Problem solving/troubleshooting skills when addressing mechanical, electrical, fabrication and personnel issues. ? Good communication skills with detailed follow up. ?
