Confers with management, engineering, and internal/external personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of equipment and facilities. Assists in preparation of department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget. SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, the maintenance technician supports individual retail, wholesale units by troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance services pertaining to malfunctioning and broken convenience store equipment. Maintains fuel dispensers by changing nozzles, hoses, vapor breaks, spill containment, o-rings, vapor-vac motors, CRIND printers, electronic boards, electronic displays, and other related parts and services as required. Maintains fueling equipment POS (Verifone Ruby/Verifone Sapphire) by troubleshooting, repairing, and cleaning all POS related equipment. Maintains fueling equipment Veeder-Root 350 ATG (automatic tank gauge) by troubleshooting, repairing, and cleaning all ATG related equipment. Performs preventative fuel equipment maintenance to include dispenser calibration. Works with Department of Weights & Measures to maintain compliance of fueling equipment in order to avoid violations. Tests fuel leak detectors and product lines.
