Flagpoles Etc. is seeking a dependable, skilled individual to join our team as a Field Installation Technician. This role involves the installation and repair of flagpoles—from residential to large commercial and government projects—across Michigan and the U.S. You’ll work hands-on with a small, experienced crew on projects that demand precision, responsibility, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and repair flagpoles (ground-set, wall-mounted, and custom-engineered structures)
• Operate and maneuver pickup trucks with large trailers (must be highly proficient)
• Work locally and travel monthly for out-of-state projects (typically one week at a time)
• Complete hands-on tasks such as layout, digging, concrete work, equipment assembly, and finishing

• Warehouse work as needed to assist in the manufacturing, packing and all the in and outs of flagpoles
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity at every job site
• Follow safety practices and maintain clean, organized worksites

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction, fabrication, or mechanical assembly (preferred)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Able to obtain or already possess a DOT Medical Card
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to doing the job right the first time
• Must be reliable, respectful, and able to work well independently or on a small team

Location & Travel Details

Based out of Wixom, MI, this role requires monthly travel to out-of-state job sites. Most trips last about a week, though timing varies depending on job scope and location. You’ll work local jobs or assist in the shop between trips. Per diem is paid, and all accommodations are covered.
