The HVAC Service Technician will maintain and repair customer’s air quality systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing and subsequently repairing and calibrating these systems. This would incorporate components such as transformers, thermostats, compressors, and other mechanical components as required. You will repair/replace various components such as transformers, thermostats, and compressors. These diagnostics and repairs/replacements will need to be explained to customers in a clear, non-technical manner and costs for these repairs/replacements will need to be outlined (including payment/financing options). You will order and collect parts once the customer provides approval and you communicate with your supervisor concerns and/or challenges. To ensure success, your customer service skills should be as good as your technical aptitude, and you will be well-versed in safety precautions.
