Maintenance Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer who is eager to learn, motivated to work, and capable of growing within the company. This position involves handling a variety of maintenance tasks while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Perform general facilities maintenance duties, including preventive maintenance, service calls, repairs, inspections, cleaning, and groundskeeping. Conduct general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ensure site cleanliness and maintain the grounds. Conduct inspections related to fire/safety, sprinkler systems, risers, fire pumps, and roofs. Provide exceptional customer service and interact with facility managers, building owners, and subcontractors. Essential Skills 5-10+ years of experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on preventive maintenance and service orders. Proficiency in general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Excellent customer service skills with a client-facing approach. A clean driving record Additional Skills & Qualifications EPA Universal 608 certification is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
