Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic Job Description Efficiently and effectively provide maintenance support to meet the needs of customers while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Offer technical expertise to support daily operations and achieve improvements in production objectives. Responsibilities Actively work on and engage with departmental projects, tasks, and objectives. Manage configuration and versions of programmable devices, hardware, and systems such as PLCs, vision camera systems, barcode scanners, intelligent sensors, and SCADA systems. Perform corrective and preventative maintenance repairs on a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical production equipment and building systems. Assist with setup and operator activities, installation and setup of new equipment. Troubleshoot breakdowns of hydraulic, pneumatic, and high voltage electrical systems without assistance. Work from layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, drawings, or verbal instructions. Troubleshoot and diagnose CNC equipment and perform maintenance, repair, and calibration. Conduct operational tests and repairs by disassembling components, repairing or replacing faulty parts, reassembling, and adjusting equipment. Adhere to safety procedures and critical facility work rules, including proper chemical handling and LOTO procedures. Ensure work environment is clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards. Participate actively in cost reduction and continuous improvement programs. Maintain high ethical standards, personal and intellectual integrity, mature judgment, and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience with automation equipment. Electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting experience. High School Diploma or GED. Twenty-four to thirty-six months of trade school or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with operators, Team Leads, and Engineers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds manually and repetitively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CNC equipment and repair is a plus. Capability to interface and pass down information between cross-functional personnel.
