Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace industrial equipment on site. You will work with a variety of machinery including industrial ovens, mixers, slicers, conveyors, weighing machines, and packaging machines. The role demands extensive experience with conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, gearboxes, and sensors. The ability to troubleshoot PLCs and make basic edits, including sensor timing adjustments, is required. Experience with robotics is a plus. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and machinery. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions. Edit and adjust PLCs and sensor timing as needed. Read and interpret schematics to facilitate repairs and maintenance. Essential Skills Proficiency in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Strong mechanical skills with a focus on maintenance repair. Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics. Electrical maintenance skills, including PLC troubleshooting and Allen-Bradley automation. Ability to work with voltages ranging from 12V to 480V. Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in bakery manufacturing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Robotic experience is a plus. Ability to work 10-hour shifts. Work Environment This position operates in a non-climate-controlled environment, with some areas experiencing high temperatures due to industrial ovens. The role is on either a 1st or 2nd shift schedule, from 6 AM to 6 PM OR 6 PM to 6 AM, with a 3-2-2 schedule and lockdowns on weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.10 - $36.10/hr.
