Alaant has been engaged to recruit for Electro Metrics a leading Metal Fabrication Facility in the Northeast, an agile machine shop equipped with advanced CNC lathes, waterjets, and a state-of-the art laser cutter. We're seeking a **Machinist** to join the team fabricating high-quality parts using a variety of machine tools. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting components with the help of precision instruments. You'll work from blueprints and technical drawings to produce parts to exact specificationslarge and small. **Key Responsibilities:** + Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to calculate dimensions and tolerances + Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other cutting-edge tools + Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, vernier calipers, and other precision tools + Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain accuracy + Select tools, materials, and methods for each job based on specifications + Lay out and mark stock materials for accurate cutting and fabrication + Align and secure fixtures, attachments, and materials properly for each task + Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment **Qualifications:** + Experience operating Bridgeport Mill & Lathe + 1+ year of experience in metal fabrication or a related field preferred + Solid understanding of machining processes and materials + Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and mechanical drawings + Comfortable using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills **What We Offer:** + Steady **day-shift schedule** : Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm + Weekly Payroll + Payrate- Based on level of knowledge and experience: $25.00-$30.00 per hour + Comprehensive and generous benefits package to include company sponsored Health, Dental & Vision insurance, supplemental insurance and retirement plan. + A supportive and team-focused environment + Opportunities to grow and expand your machining skills **For more details on this role contact:** **Miriam Dushane, Managing Partner, ..., ...** **Why Alaant?** _At Alaant Workforce Solutions, we never post a job that isn't a real, verified opportunity.
