Kramer & Co., a 5th generation family owned recycling company that is looking to add an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to its staff. H. Kramer & Co. melts down a variety of scrap materials to make brass and bronze ingots. Located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. The Ideal Candidate is one who is familiar with working in an industrial setting. Who can perform assigned tasks in a timely manner. Who is thorough in their work, maximizes their productivity and is detailed focus. They are honest, safe in their work habits with and eye for overall safety of the workplace environment. The candidate will be a vital team member to H. Kramer & Co's maintenance department. The candidate will perform assignments individually or with other members of the maintenance department. The candidate should know the importance of mentoring and teaching their peers as to the best work practices as well as to be able to learn best practices from others. The candidate is first and foremost a craftsman that takes pride in their completed work, understanding that what they do in maintaining plant equipment generates a safe and productive workplace for all of H. Kramer employees. The ideal candidate is fast on their feet to changing work demands. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as production demand it. They are patient when dealing with challenging work environments and cool headed in times of stress. They are focused on the successful completion of jobs. They are diligent with their paperwork and honest with their record keeping. The ideal candidate is friendly, approachable, confident, and genuine. Have a good sense of humor who is proud of their accomplishments. The industrial maintenance electrician that is a perfect fit is one who is safe: for themselves, for the company and for the coworkers. He inspires confidence: in his skill set, in his work ethic, in his company. He has and displays a can-do attitude: he is up to any task that promotes the interest of the company. He is independent: he can function as a standalone entity, grasp and tackle the job to a positive conclusion. Responsibilities The responsibilities of an Electrician include but not limited to, the following: Delivering 8 hrs of productive work each and every day. Be able to work two Saturdays of the month. Understand their scope of work per assignment and to properly communicate with Department Supervisor if any uncertainty occurs. Maintain a safe work environment and promote safe work practices. Maintain a clean work environment. To work as a team member, or to function alone as the situation demands Coordinate with other Departments to make a smooth work environment.
