The essential job responsibilities of the Electrician will report to the Foreman, Electric Construction and Maintenance. Repair, maintain and install various electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and codes; and perform various other electrical work. Install explosion=proof fittings and remote-control wiring in gas check points, regulators, metering stations, water boosters station and underground vaults as required. Perform electrical work for various governmental agencies. Perform electrical troubleshooting. Climb steel poles and towers; install and connect rectifiers. Read blueprints, sketches, and wiring diagrams. Operate Division vehicle and various equipment including bucket trucks, forklifts, trenching machines, etc. Perform other duties as directed.

Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Electrician role, you must:
-High School Diploma or GED required. -Must have successfully completed approved Electrician Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training. -Must successfully complete switching training. -Must be able to differentiate wire colors. -Must successfully complete Placement/ performance Exercises. -Must have a Class A Commercial driver's license from state of residence. Physical Working Conditions: Work inside and outside under varying conditions. Subject to the hazards of high voltage electricity, heights, operating equipment, climbing steel poles, steel structures towers. Requires heavy lifting/ carrying up to 100lbs.
