Maintenance Worker, VDL

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director Canadiate must have the ability to do routine maintenance and preventative maintenance in the Shosohone Rose Casino, Hotel, and surrounding property. This position will require proper operation of equipment, maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair of all heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and mechanicial equipmenton on property This position will work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all safety and OSHA codes are maintained, and will help with the documentation of the preventative maintenance program and help insure top performance of all mechanical equpment. **STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:**Takes directives from the Maintenance Director to maintain the property, buildings, air venalation, mechanical system and other areas as directed. This position will require basic carpentry and repair skills. Must have the ability to solve and diagnose problems and be able to work independantly. Ability to perform assigned duties under time constraints and dealines. Good communication skills verbal and written along with public relation skills. Due to the variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule and hours at times. Must be available to assist staff, guests,or patrons with issues concerning the facilities, properety or the casino & hotel that may need immediate attention. **DUTIES:**1. Assists with the preventative maintenance of all facilities, property, and equipment. Help maintain preventative maintenance logs, along with logs when equipment is repaired, replaced or maintained.2. Takes direction for general maintenance of all facilities on property and the property itself.3. Basic knowledge of HVAC system, alarm system, generators painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other issues relating to maintenance of the property.4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and hours.5. Ensuring high standards of work performed.6. Maintain grounds, pick up garbage, weed eat, snowplow, some landscaping may be necessary.7. Timely completion of maintenance projects that are assigned.8. Training in the use of supplies, equipment, chemicals, and MSDS. 9. Comply with Tribal/State Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal Internal Control System, tribal Regulations, and all applicable Tribal Federal, and State Laws.10. Performing routine carpentry work, installing doors, shelving, belts, pumps, air filters, etc.The duties listed do not include every single item that will happen in the maintenance department. This must be able to accommodate changing issues associated with guests.
