Industrial Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Electrician to join our client's manufacturing team in Edinburgh, IN. Reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, this direct hire position plays a critical role in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining both production and facility electrical systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and flexibility to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, including overtime and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities:
Install electrical systems for plant equipment such as gas mixers, burners, compressors, air circulation units, and lighting systems

Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues involving circuit boards, solid-state components, transducers, amplifiers, and timing/inspection devices

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to maximize uptime and efficiency

Identify electrical inefficiencies and collaborate with leadership to resolve them

Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to ensure optimal equipment function

Support the design and installation of new production equipment and electrical processes

Maintain safe and healthful working conditions while adhering to all safety protocols

Communicate clearly and follow complex instructions, both verbal and written

Foster a team-oriented, productive, and respectful work environment

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs

Familiarity with Signode strappers, VideoJet systems, and industrial digital inspection equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting logic

Prior experience in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial setting

Associate

1-4 years

Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience in industrial electronics

Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical experience

Proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and HMI systems

Strong understanding of electrical schematics, AC/DC motors, multimeters, and industrial wiring

Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), hazardous material handling, and confined space procedures

Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including overtime and holidays
