Current Salary range between $28-36 an hour. Daily overtime available
Pay and bonuses are fully dependant on applicants' ability and past work experience.
We also currently pay 100% of the employees medical and dental benefits.
This position also offers 2 weeks PTO starting after 90 probation period.
Position Title:Equipment Technician Supervisor / Lead Mechanic
Position Tasks & Activities:
Oversee the records management of all equipment.
Oversees the Ready to Rent procedure.
Maintain an organized shop by returning tools and unused parts to the appropriate storage area.
Maintain a clean shop, especially personal working area, and keep floors swept and mopped. Assist in maintaining the company property.
Schedule preventative maintenance work with Store Management.
Participates in hiring and firing of all service and repair staff.
Help Schedule delegation of workload daily by prioritizing work orders for internal and external repairs.
Train new mechanics/technicians.
Meet with members of management to discuss policies, problems and make recommendations.
Stay informed of equipment failures and safety violations.
Attend update/tech classes.
Report safety violations to supervisor.
Network with other industry professionals.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in-store.
Conduct department, store, and safety meetings upon request.
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as requested.
Nature of the Work:
Must be able to train and direct activities of subordinates. Oversee the maintenance and repair of internal and external equipment. Electrical, carpentry and welding knowledge is necessary. Order parts, tools, and equipment as necessary. Must be courteous, professional and knowledgeable with customers and staff in regard to safety procedures and rental equipment.
Working Conditions:
Must stand for long periods of time. Most work will be indoors with general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be heated or air-conditioned. This job requires constant interaction with co-workers and the public. This position requires frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions may also be required. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.
Education, Skills & Requirements:
Must have one of the following: a two-year college degree, a vocational school certificate or two years experience in mechanics.
Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
Must maintain a valid drivers license.
Must use mathematics to solve problems.
Must speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak another language is a plus.
Must pass a company drug screen.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
Must be able to apply principles of rational thinking to solve problems.
Must be able to provide instructions in written, oral and scheduled form.
Must possess knowledge in the mechanical field, plumbing, and construction.
Must have welding and painting experience.
Must have knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary.
