    Position Summary:

    This role will ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of all equipment in FCCs MRF facilities

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develops and maintains PM program for processing equipment by scheduling and managing all maintenance activities

    • Manages the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; adhering to operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

    • Ability to identify problems by observing mechanical devices in operation

    • Manages full-time, temporary and contract maintenance personnel

    • Develops and maintains contracts with vendors

    • Ability to purchase and negotiate cost effective tools, parts and maintenance/repair service from suppliers

    • Manages and avoids downtime by leading personnel in routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring adherence

    • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt

    • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

    • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

  • Education

    • High School Diploma

    • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering

    Experience and Competencies:

    • Previous MRF experience

    • 3-5 years of experience in an maintenance management role

    • Experience with Microsoft Excel is required

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Prompt, professional and dependable demeanor
