With a dedicated team and a focus on community and environmental responsibility, we're proud to play a role in shaping a greener, healthier future.**Role Overview:**As a Maintenance Technician/Electrician, you will undertake maintenance and other tasks at the direction of the Facilities Manager to ensure our greenhouse facility's smooth and efficient operation. From performing preventative maintenance to diagnosing and repairing equipment, you will play a key role in helping our business succeed.**Key Responsibilities:**- Installing new electrical systems, wiring, and equipment, including lighting, power outlets, and control systems.- Identifying and diagnosing electrical problems, using testing equipment and technical knowledge to pinpoint the source of issues.- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, troubleshooting issues, and replacing faulty components or equipment.- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, patching, painting, and minor repairs.- Diagnosing and repairing broken or malfunctioning equipment, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems.- Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment to ensure longevity and optimal performance.- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, using heavy equipment or hand tools to clean, move trash, clear snow etc.- Potentially aid in designing electrical layouts, operating equipment, and assisting with construction projects.- Adhering to safety regulations, procedures, and protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and ensuring a safe work environment.- Ensuring all facilities and equipment are maintained to safety standards and compliance with relevant regulations.- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.- Communicating with supervisors, contractors, and other staff about maintenance needs and issues.- Collaborating with other tradespeople, facility managers, and engineers to ensure efficient project execution and communication of technical information.- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.- Other tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager or Management team.**Requirements:**- Master electrician license.- Advanced understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.- Mechanical aptitude for working with tools and heavy equipment.- Attention to detail for accurate work and record-keeping.- Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and climbing.- Good communication skills for interacting with supervisors and contractors.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**Benefits**- Pay range: $70,000-$80,000- Medical and dental insurance- Paid time off- Cash bonus program when developed based on facility performance- Retirement plan under developmentDisclaimer: This job description is not all-inclusive.
