Facilities Mechanic

Our client in Manchester, NH is the major force in the aerosol valve marketplace today, offering a full line of high quality, low cost vertical action valves, tilt action valves, female valves, metered valves,and bag-on-valves. The Second Shift, Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment in the production plant. This is a direct hire Second shift role, with the opportunity for overtime and a twice a year profit sharing bonus potential. ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Must possess excellent mechanical and fabrication skills;
• Plumbing and carpentry skills a plus;
• Requires good communication, reading and writing English;
• DOT Transportation of Hazardous Material Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repairs air compressors, cooling towers, fork trucks, doors, blowers, dock plates, and company grounds;
• Performs miscellaneous plumbing, carpentry, and demolition throughout the plant; Moves machinery as necessary;
• Will support outside vendors and is responsible for hazardous waste storage sheds, checklists, and removal operations;
• Gives support to other departments and performs safety related projects as required;
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
