Mechanic 1 or 2 - Mobile Maintenance Location: East Boulder Mine - McLeod, MT Schedule: 5x4, 4x5 - 11.5-hour days Fuel Your Career with Purpose at Sibanye-Stillwater Are you a skilled mechanic who thrives on solving complex mechanical problems and keeping critical equipment running smoothly? Join our team at the East Boulder Mine, where your expertise keeps us moving - safely and efficiently. We're looking for experienced Mechanics to perform hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of underground and surface mobile equipment. Whether it's diesel engines, drills, LHDs, or remote-controlled machinery, you'll play a key role in supporting our mining operations with safety, precision, and pride. What You'll Do Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on mobile mining equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and service diesel-powered and electrically operated machinery. Maintain and repair underground and surface equipment, including LHDs, drills, rail haulage, hoists, crushers, conveyors, air compressors, and pumps. Operate safely following company and regulatory procedures, including proper lock-out/tag-out practices. Ensure equipment is operating at peak performance to maximize productivity and safety. What You Bring Required: Proven experience maintaining and repairing diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics. Knowledge of rigging, overhead crane operation, and equipment safety protocols. Effective written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must own or be willing to obtain the required tools (tool allowance provided). Preferred: Underground mining equipment maintenance experience. Welding and cutting experience (gas/arc welding, oxy-acetylene). Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and computer systems. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Why Work With Us?
