Maintenance Mechanic (Body Prep) Job Description As a Maintenance Mechanic (Body Prep), you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment such as motors, conveyors, and presses. Your primary duties will include performing PMs on mechanical and chain-driven machines, lubricating machines, and operating the rectifying machine. This role entails spending 25% of your time performing basic maintenance and 75% operating the rectifying machine. Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment. Perform PMs on mechanical equipment and chain-driven machines. Lubricate machines to ensure optimal performance. Operate the rectifying machine, dedicating 75% of your time to this task. Essential Skills Experience in maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment. Ability to work with diesel and mechanical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must supply own hand tools or have the ability to procure them. Why Work Here? The environment can be dusty due to tile dust, yet it remains fairly clean, especially in the highly automated packaging line. Some areas involve working at heights on tall equipment like scaffolding. Conditions can be hot in summer, especially near kilns and ovens. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, but shorts and cut-off t-shirts are allowed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
