Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Performs all aspects of electrical work constructing and maintaining roadway lighting, traffic signal electrical systems, ITS, etc. in assigned areas. Knowledgeable and highly skilled in all aspects of electrical work.
Oversees and assists with the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of underground electrical power lines for streetlights, traffic signal systems, ITS, and otherponents.
Provide dailymunication with the client's representatives
Directs the crew members on specific job tasks.
Operates various tools for the work (various manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers,e-along, jackhammers, drills, ground rod drivers, hand lines, etc.)
Will have contact with public and private property owners tomunicate the work to be performed.
Participates inpany training of all regional safety guidelines and is required to perform all work by the regional safety policies.
Responsible for inspections, proper working conditions, and necessary repairs to tools and equipment.
Assists with groundwork when needed.
Assists with power outages and electrical problems.
All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors
Works around hazardous equipment and near energized parts or equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to terminate secondary pedestals and meter boxes.
Must be able to read and follow prints.
Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call-out work.
Education & Experience:
Valid State issued Master's license for the state of Texas required.
Pre-Screen:
Upon offer, employees may be required toplete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
A Driver's License is required.
Amercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out-of-town stay may be required up to 2 weeks as needed.
