The Maintenance Technician I is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibility is to ensure the safe continued operation of equipment that furthers the mission of Hope Network

This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of Hope Network Industries equipment and facilities. These responsibilities include performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. These tasks must be done with safety(people and food) and quality of the finished product as the driving force. The maintenance technician will evaluate and improve the maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the companys goals and objectives. This position requires strong problem solving skills to diagnose problems, the ability to replace or repair parts, and to make adjustments as equipment runs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
  2. Comply with safety regulations (AIB, SOPs, GMPs, ISO, MIOSHA)
  3. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  4. Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment and company facilities.
  5. Changeover machines from one product to another, train other Maintnenance on best practices.
  6. Train Machine Operators and Team Leaders/PCs with applicable machine settings, simple set ups and changeovers in a safe manner.
  7. Responsive to equipment breakdowns and changeovers, provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment. Be available on a 24-hour emergency basis
  8. Detect faulty operations or defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the supervisor.
  9. Replace or repair parts on machines within the plant; test and make adjustments as necessary.
  10. Additional departmental responsibilities/duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Education required: High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  2. At least one year of maintenance experience preferred. General maintenance experience necessary.
  3. Ability to be flexible, work independently, and meet deadlines
  4. Pro-active problem solving skills and advance maintenance techniques to prevent equipment malfunction.
  5. Ability to design and follow through on preventative maintenance programs including recording of appropriate records.
  6. Able to fabricate components as required including welding if needed.
  7. Must be able to obtain a forklift license
  8. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  9. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  10. Willingness to contribute and be part of an effective team.
  11. Excellent organizational, communication, and composition skills with the ability to multi-task.
