Jail Facility Maintenance WorkerMinimum Qualifications- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)- **One (1) year custodial, building maintenance experience.**- Valid Florida Class E Driver's License (Must maintain for the duration of employment.)Job Description:Performs routine maintenance and tasks necessary to keep the facilities and grounds clean, orderly and in good working condition. - Following Employer Standards -This class works with minimum supervision and is required to exercise judgment and initiative in scheduling and planning job duties.: Work is performed in and around a secure facility environment; employees may have inmate contact. Work is primarily completed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm); however, schedule flexibility is required to effectively perform the requirements of the position. May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays. In the event of an emergency, natural or artificial disaster the employee will be expected to work. Completion of a criminal background investigation including polygraph. Requires drug test prior to assuming position and if employed, will be subject to post-accident, and/or random and reasonable suspicion drug tests while employed.
