Maintenance Tech/Janitor POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the general cleaning of a building and keeping it maintained and in good condition. RESPONSIBILITIES/STANDARDS - Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed- General light maintenance required.- Make minor repairs including patch/painting, floors, doors, etc.- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs- Make adjustments and minor repairs- Stock and maintain supply rooms- Cooperate with the rest of the staff- Follow all health and safety regulations- Ability to manage time efficiently with little to no oversight- Washes windows and mirrors.- Takes out the trash and recycling.- Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.- Sweeps, mops, polishes, and vacuums floors.- Uses common cleaning tools and equipment- Organizes the janitor closet and stores all supplies and tools.- Notifies the Maintenance Director when major repairs are needed.- Fills out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift.- Locks the doors at the end of night shifts.- Follows safety rules and precautions.- Adheres to company policies and procedures.Will have access to and use of, as well as may create,Protected Health Information (PHI)of clients through verbal, written and electronic communications, as recorded and contained in ABHS's clinical records and electronic healthcare record system. Will use and protect such identified client PHI by maintaining and respecting client privacy and confidentiality in conformance to federal HIPAA and state patient privacy laws and regulations and ABHS client confidentiality policies. Employee will only access and use the minimum necessary PHI required to perform their job duties.
