Job Summary:*This position is in support of V2X for the W-TRS contract at Fort Irwin, CA. The contract encompasses multiple buildings and remote shelter both on contentment and in the training area. The general maintenance worker's primary responsibility is to perform facility maintenance activities in support of these structures and surround areas.
Job Description
- General work requirements are both inside and outdoor environment coordinating/executing/tracking/reporting orders as necessary.
- Provide support by supporting multiple end-user locations
- Maintaining and repairing buildings, machinery, and equipment within a facility or property.
- Responsibilities include a mix of tasks, from plumbing and basic electrical work to painting and carpentry.
- Handling repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural elements. To include mobile vehicle shelters.
- Supports HVAC and Power Generation teams providing surge support and assistance when necessary.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment and ensures materials are stored in a manner that prevents damage or deterioration.
- Responsible for responding to and tracking trouble tickets in InSITE (Maximo).
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus some technical education or training (e.g., associate's degree, apprenticeship, on-the-job training).

None
Required Experience:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, reach, and move materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in cold, heat and wind.
- Willing to travel off road to work at remote sites.
- Travel by helicopter may be required.
