Mechanic Job Description Join a full-service piledriving manufacturing company that distributes products throughout North America and South America. As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in supporting various departments with your skills and adaptability. You will need a willingness to learn, be comfortable with receiving direction, possess a can-do attitude, and have some previous experience in equipment mechanics. Responsibilities Switch tasks often and perform multiple different job duties. Rig hoses and various equipment for lifting with Crane. Utilize various hand tools such as torches and drills in a manufacturing environment. Assist in operating manufacturing equipment as required. Perform and assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required. Essential Skills Experience in diesel mechanics. Troubleshooting skills. Electrical repair skills. Knowledge in hydraulics. Preventive maintenance expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task effectively. Capability to follow instructions and use reasonable deduction. Ability to prioritize tasks and respond with urgency. Knowledge of load capacities, equipment, and material inspection. Basic understanding of operating various equipment and tools. Willingness to learn and ability to retain and apply instructions. Willingness to work overtime with little notice. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, you will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the environment and job sites can be loud. You must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and exert maximum force to pull and carry objects, frequently lifting without restriction. Extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
