Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring: Guide and train non-licensed electricians who are still completing their apprenticeships.
  • Expert Support: Offer technical assistance and support to fellow electricians during troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Preventative Care: Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on all electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Leadership Backup: Step into the Electrical Maintenance Manager role when needed, overseeing daily operations, assigning tasks, and managing schedules.
  • Inventory Control: Order electrical parts and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels for continuous manufacturing.
  • Rapid Response: Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions to get things back online quickly.
  • Safety First: Strictly follow all company safety protocols, procedures, and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to find ways to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Detailed Records: Keep clear and precise documentation of all repairs, inventory transactions, and other maintenance activities.
  • Handle other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands & Working Environment:

You'll regularly sit, stand, walk, use your hands, and reach with your arms. You may also need to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You'll occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

You'll primarily be working in a plant environment, with some duties possibly performed in an office setting. You may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures, and the noise level is frequently loud. This is a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving mechanical parts. This role may require shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Journeyman Electrician license is a must.
  • 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • A strong background in industrial electrical systems, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, motors, sensors, and other electrical devices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • The ability to effectively use a multimeter and other electrical troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • The capability to effectively backfill supervisory roles and manage team dynamics.
  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office is a plus.
