About the Role:
As an Assembly Mechanic, you'll performplex structural assembly, installations, rigging, and functional tests on 737 fuselageponents. You'll work hands-on with shop tools, blues, and precision instruments, helping to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of one of the most iconic aircraft in the world.
Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Renton, WA 98057
Schedule: Must be available to work either shift
Pay Rate: $43.35hour
Per Diem: $110day for eligible non-local candidates
Travel & Hotel Support: Flights and hotel covered for training in Wichita, KS
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, seal, and inspect structuralponents on the 737 fuselage
Interpret engineering drawings, process specs, and quality requirements
Use shop math and precision measuring tools for assembly and functional tests
Perform machine maintenance tasks (e.g., filter changes, lubrication checks)
Move and track parts through manufacturing processes using assigned equipment
Participate in cross-training, mentoring, and support of production flow
Maintain quality standards and report discrepancies as required
May be SIA-qualified and cross-trained in inspection and sealing functions
Required Qualifications:
Must be available for either first or second shift
5+ years of sheet metal experience in the aerospace industry
Strong background in structure and rework (737 rework experience preferred)
Eligible for rehire by a major aerospace OEM (check status at ...)
Willing to travel for initial training in Wichita, KS (all expenses covered)
Ability to interpretplex blues and engineering documents
Familiarity with tooling and quality control processes
Preferred Experience:
Experience in 737 fuselage assembly or rework
Structures background and sealing expertise
Previous work on largemercial aircraft platforms
