Our client, a growing personal care and nutraceutical manufacturer, is seeking a Cosmetic Maintenance Mechanic to join their team! We are looking for talented & hardworking individuals to join this dynamic organization.

Location: San Bernardino County, CA

Shift: Monday - Friday 2nd and 3rd shift available ; OT and weekends as needed.

Type: 6-Month Contract to Hire Opportunity

Pay: $25.00/hr. - $45.00/hr. (depending on experience)

General Description

Responsible for ensuring that all scheduled equipment in production is in good operating condition and meets all Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines. Ensures that the assigned lines are set up on time and remains online for any required troubleshooting. Completes required preventative maintenance for scheduled equipment and responsible for identifying equipment safety and integrity concerns. Interface closely with all other production and quality teams to meet daily productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

Complete assigned preventative maintenance for scheduled equipment.

Completes departmental training as well as perform daily tasks with safety, quality, and efficiency mind set.

Completes production line set ups according to schedule.

Participate in equipment cross training to ensure proper coverage is always available on the production floor.

Work with production to meet daily productivity targets by meeting scheduled set up times.

Collaborate regularly on start-ups and line changes to reduce lost time on the production floor.

Collaborate to reduce equipment downtime related to equipment failures.

Participate in maintenance tests/capability reports to ensure new products are an adequate fit for available equipment.

Interact with customer base during facility visits for new product launches, production opportunities and our customer audits.

Participate in research of adequate tooling needs for new products.

Support routine audits for safety opportunities such as missing or damaged guards, electrical equipment, etc.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school degree preferred.

Previous experience in a production maintenance role WITH COSMETICS/ PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS is highly desirable.

Professional certifications in maintenance or industrial equipment (e.g., CMRT, CMRP) are a plus.

Strong technical knowledge of production equipment.

Excellent troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Team-oriented with a strong commitment to internal and external customer service.
