Seeking a mechanically inclined, and safety-oriented field mechanic. This position is responsible for heavy-duty diesel maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks and trailers.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Repair and rebuild significant components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Identify, and troubleshoot intermediate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks including fluid changes, filter replacements, and inspections to ensure equipment remains in good working order.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
- Adhere strictly to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs, and Procedures Manual and MSHA/OSHA standards while wearing proper PPE.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment for diagnostics and repairs. Stay updated with the latest technology and repair techniques.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
**Ability, Skills and Knowledge**
- Advanced diesel and gas engine repairs.
- 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair with a mix of hands-on work and troubleshooting in the field.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, and diesel truck diagnostic software.
- Must own hand tools.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex issues with heavy machinery and a variety of equipment.
- Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Must be able to interpret various instructions furnishes in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- High school education or GED equivalent.
