Maintenance Electrician

The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Maintenance Electrician will be responsible to assist the facilities team with the general maintenance & repair of facility electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install & maintain wiring, control & lighting systems

• Inspect electrical components such as transformers & circuit breakers

• Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices

• Read blueprints and/or technical diagrams

• Assist team with facility repairs including but not limited to, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, concrete repair and sheetrock

• Obtain and maintain various certifications in regards to electric, HVAC and plumbing

• Respond quickly to resolve unanticipated issues

• Troubleshoot root cause of problems in a cost effective manner in accordance with Maintenance Team and Supervisor

• Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects

The pay range for this position is $22 - $22 per hour

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• 1-2 years work experience with electrical system maintenance & repair

• Must be able to work Saturdays

• Must be able to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis
