Nokia is seeking talented individuals to join our Applied Research & Development and Software teams. AR focuses on solving complex problems through multi-disciplinary design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems, while SWA specializes in defining, specifying, and allocating requirements from various sources, translating them into technical specifications, and developing software solutions. As an RL1 Maintenance Engineer, you will resolve customer-raised problems and troubleshoot escalated ME/TOP tickets quickly and efficiently. You will receive team support to become a true RL1 expert in the BTS system area.
As part of the RL1 Maintenance Engineering team, you will:
Be a team member of the RL1 maintenance team who are responsible for troubleshooting customer problems in the BTS system.
Investigate customer problems at system level, identify root causes, and transfer Pronto tickets to relevant teams (SW, HW, production, repair) for further investigation. Provide guidance to customers on avoiding installation/commissioning issues.
Replicate customer-reported problems in lab, plan and execute tests, and document findings in a report.
Investigate problems on customer BTS site and present investigation status reports to customers.
Assist in RL1 pre-investigation to identify the appropriate RL1 R D group (SW or HW) for further investigation.
Contribute to task force projects or participate in task force teams for ME (Management Escalation) and TOP RF problem tickets
Be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
You have:
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent education
Experience in building and testing BTS configurations in the lab
RF competence in SW/HW/System areas
Strong analytical customer problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes
Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
RF log analysis experience
Knowledge of MN RF FM process
Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) in English
Prioritization skills to work with the most critical issues
Proactive work ethic and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Result-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
Responsible, committed, and well-organized team player
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
