Mechanical Assembler Job Description We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team at our main sales and operations facility in Charlotte, NC. The role involves working with cutting-edge train connection systems and contributing to the safe and reliable production of couplers, gangways, hatches, and dampers. With over 77 years of experience, we pride ourselves on producing quality products and maintaining customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Always work safely, avoiding health and safety risks, and observe and report potential hazards in the workplace. Perform electro-mechanical assembly according to specified requirements. Conduct pre-delivery tests and document results after receiving approval. Document products in the ITC-list as per requirements. Report time in the ERP system or equivalent software. Support colleagues and engage in cross-functional tasks when necessary. Maintain cleanliness in the working area according to 5S standards and perform essential equipment maintenance. Participate in improvement groups and propose enhancements. Clean, disassemble, repair, and overhaul TCS products based on customer orders. Document repairs and overhauls following implemented procedures. Assist in receiving, shipping, inspection, and picking as required. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools such as drills, table saws, and pneumatic nail guns. Experience with power tools and mechanical assembly. Comfortable working with overhead cranes. Strong team player with effective communication skills. Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prefer 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or production. Forklift experience is preferred. Dependable with attention to detail and ability to work independently. Reliable transportation and legible handwriting. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 70 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
