The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high-quality software solutions, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and utilizing modern technologies to deliver robust and scalable systems. Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense's (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran's Affairs' (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile application development. Responsibilities: Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to- Design and Development: Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems that meet business requirements and technical specifications. Coding & Debugging: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Debug and troubleshoot complex issues in both development and production environments. Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews. Implement automated testing where applicable. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and contribute to technical architecture discussions. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and system processes to ensure knowledge sharing across teams. Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems and software products. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to the team's knowledge and evolving development practices. Qualifications: Required Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience (5+ years) in software development. Proficiency in: C# JavaScript React JS version 17 or greater Gitlab Cypress, Jest, XUnit MySQL SQL JetBrains Rider or Visual Studio Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
