Maintenance Mechanic**

**Job Description**

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures to maintain production and quality systems. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

**Shift: 2nd shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday**

**Pay: $25 - $40/hr (based on experience)**

**Responsibilities**

+ Maintain and repair production machines and the plant facilitys equipment.

+ Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.

+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

+ Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, including some HVAC.

+ Perform a variety of basic plumbing maintenance, basic electrical maintenance, and basic carpentry functions.

+ Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

+ Assist with snow removal in the winter.

+ Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

+ Implement preventative maintenance measures.

+ Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

+ Complete inspections of facilities.

+ Respond quickly in an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.

+ Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Leadership: provide direction, training, monitor work, and provide performance feedback.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Basic math skills.

+ Mechanical inclination.

+ Knowledge/experience with PLC diagnostics.

+ Familiarity with electronic controls

+ Experienced in operating various equipment, including snow blowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools.

+ Strong time management with the ability to multitask.

+ Attention to detail and thoroughness.

+ Able to work well with minimal supervision.

+ Ability to be respirator certified

+ Ability to operate powered industrial equipment

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $29.75 - $39.69/hr.
