    The Facilities Department at the Prescott Campus is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of routine and skilled maintenance and repair tasks across campus facilities and infrastructure. This position supports multiple trades and plays a key role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of campus buildings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of general building systems

    • Conduct basic plumbing repairs (e.g., unclogging toilets and drains, replacing fixtures)

    • Carry out minor electrical work (e.g., replacing receptacles, bulbs, and light fixtures)

    • Execute general carpentry tasks (e.g., installing doors, hardware, closers, stops)

    • Maintain and repair roofs, clean and seal gutters, and clear downspouts

    • Construct and install window screens; install appliances (e.g., refrigerators, ranges)

    • Replace HVAC filters and perform basic HVAC upkeep

    • Complete drywall repair and painting tasks

    • Install ceiling tiles and grid systems; perform flooring repairs and replacement

    • Mount whiteboards, TV monitors, bulletin boards, and other classroom items

    • Assist in classroom and residence hall preparation

    • Conduct periodic preventive maintenance inspections and repairs

    • Support special event setups and breakdowns

    • Participate in snow and ice removal during winter months

    • Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with applicable safety standards

    • Additional duties as assigned



    Qualifications
    • High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math plus at least 1 year of related work experience
    • OSHA 10 certification
    • Aerial Lift Training
    • General construction or maintenance experience. Solid knowledge of power, hand tools and proper use.
