I&E Mechanic (First shift)

We are looking for:

The Instrument and Electrical Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, instrumentation and control systems at the Willow Island site.

We count on you for:

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID's, loop sheets, vendor instructions and work specifications.
• Install and maintain low and medium voltage electrical distribution and control equipment up to and including 13,800 volts.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair solid state and electro-mechanical controls and pneumatic control instrumentation and valving.
• Have a working knowledge of safety valves, conservation vents and rupture disks.
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment.
• Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Working knowledge of Distributive Control Systems (DCS).
• Be familiar with a wide range of instrumentation.
• Knowledge of digital smart transmitter technology.
• Lay out, design and construct control cabinets and panels.
• Have a working knowledge of variable frequency drives.'
• Interface with outside vendors and/or contractors for technical assistance and troubleshooting.
• Assist with job scheduling and material specification.
• Must be a self-starter and accept job ownership.
• Responsible for tracking time with associated work orders during scheduled shifts.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems for interfacing with electrical and instrument equipment plus computerized maintenance management system.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

You will bring:

• Minimum of 2-year Associate Degree in related studies, or equivalent job specific experience and training. Testing may be required to assess and demonstrate knowledge and ability to effectively perform the required essential duties in a safe manner.
• Capable of reading and interpreting work instructions, drawings and equipment specifications.]
• Must be physically able to perform assigned work such as lifting, climbing, etc.
