Construction Maintenance Worker II - Bees Ferry Landfill

This position works at the Bees Ferry Landfill in the maintenance and landscaping of the Countys grounds, properties, and rights-of-way, and grounds areas

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $15.41 - $18.60

OPEN UNTIL FILLED APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY

To include mowing lawns, trimming shrubbery, bushes, and trees; cleaning and maintaining all grounds areas, to include picking up all litter and properly disposing of the debris; directing traffic in landfill to insure good truck flow; inspecting and recording the type of waste to be disposed and directing the customer to the correct disposal location; pulling unacceptable waste from the waste stream and loading it into containers; and other work-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Position requires a high school diploma (or GED) supplemented with some construction or maintenance experience. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instruction and to distinguish different categories of trash visually and to safely direct traffic. Must be able to lift heavy weights (55 pounds) and have the skill to communicate with other. Must possess a valid SC drivers license.
