Line Mechanic 2nd shift: 3pm - 12am (Monday - Friday) Overtime expected Job Description The Line Mechanic plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic systems, troubleshooting, fabrication, and light machining. Responsibilities Use safety devices and protective equipment, adhering to safe work practices and methods in the operation of all tools and equipment. Maintain, install, and repair electrical/electromechanical and mechanical component systems for concrete masonry plant equipment. Read blueprints and schematics effectively. Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed. Work collaboratively towards a team environment. Safely operate motor vehicles and other mobile equipment including man lift, forklift, skid steer, and others. Plan work effectively and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime. Correct and/or report any hazardous conditions. Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing personnel to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Quickly assess and address issues during breakdowns, applying troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Perform building and grounds maintenance. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Preventative and corrective maintenance Machine operation Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulic repair Machine rebuild Understanding of 3-phase electrical systems Knowledge of pneumatics Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read blueprints and schematics Welding and fabrication skills Thorough knowledge of electricity and electrical/electromechanical maintenance methods Understanding of safety rules related to mechanical and electrical work Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals Basic computer skills Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Holland, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
