Maintenance Mechanic - FT Days/Weekends Rotate

On-Call Coverage Required.

The Maintenance Mechanic provides basic operational duties to include performing repairs preventative maintenance, record keeping, and troubleshooting utilizing a variety of skills associated with the general maintenance field. This position is an entry level maintenance position that performs general maintenance on the organization's utility systems. In addition, this position will support the Facilities Engineer in meeting daily needs.

• Performs safety and operational tests on critical utility systems as mandated by regulatory agencies or hospital policies. This would include but not limited to\: backflow preventions, water chemistry, alarms, steam traps, microwaves, electrical leakage tests, emergency generators. Performs monthly generator test.
• Troubleshoots equipment using various diagnostic tools, e.g., building control computer
  fluke, air flow hood, water chemical testing, etc.
