Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues on conveyor systems and production equipment. Your expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes will be crucial for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installing new plant equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on conveyor systems and production equipment.
+ Perform preventive maintenance using mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes.
+ Repair and install new plant equipment, including bearings, shafts, bagging machines, mixers, and conveyors.
+ Use meters to measure voltages and understand basic wiring diagrams.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
+ Conduct 10% electrical and 90% mechanical maintenance tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
+ At least 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing production machinery.
+ Ability to use meters and understand basic voltages, deltas, and wiring diagrams.
+ Proficiency in repairing bearings, shafts, and conveyors.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience in food manufacturing and industrial settings.
+ Knowledge of 3-phase systems, welding, and fabrication.

**Work Environment**
Work in a high-speed wire production facility that can vary in temperature throughout the different areas. The facility is older, requiring innovative problem-solving skills to maintain and repair equipment effectively. The maintenance team includes electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration technicians, while other departments consist of production workers and forklift drivers. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. The typical shift is from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr.
