Electrical Maintenance Technician

Controls Technician in Portland, TN! Job Description As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for installing, wiring, and troubleshooting up to 480v motors and other electrical components. Your expertise in PLC troubleshooting, working with sensors, proximity switches, relays, and commissioning/decommissioning equipment will be crucial. You will also wire panels attached to equipment and ensure that machinery is running efficiently. Responsibilities Install and wire control panels for new machinery. Interlock PLCs on new machinery. Troubleshoot electrical components to ensure optimal machine operation. Work with up to 480v motors and electrical components. Commission and decommission equipment. Wire panels attached to equipment. Essential Skills Experience with up to 480v motors and wiring control panels. Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming. Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs. Ability to read and understand schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with automation systems and robotics. Preventive maintenance and electrical maintenance skills. Understanding of quality control processes.
