Maintenance Supervisor (Swing Shift)

Full time, Salary position, Onsite in San Carlos, CA

Purpose

Member of the Fabrication Operation team supporting daily production through preventive and reactive maintenance tasks on all equipment and facilities as needed or scheduled. Working closely with manufacturing team members to specify and prioritize duties to support production requirements.

Main Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, and assist as needed with the work of employees who troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all production equipment and systems. Assist/support Facilities Manager as needed with tasks related to building or property maintenance. Initial contact for all Maintenance Reports at DSW.

Specific Duties

• Maintain time and attendance reporting as well as personal evaluations for all direct reports.
• Maintain equipment and maintenance logs utilizing ERP software.
• Working with the production team, schedule and prioritize all preventative maintenance and needed repairs to optimize uptime of equipment.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining the appropriate levels of spare parts and supplies to eliminate downtime of equipment.
• Ensure all equipment guarding is working properly and equipment is operating in a safe manner at all times. Work closely with the Safety Coordinator to create a safe working environment for all employees.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Secondary Education certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance and Electricity preferred. (Combination of certified training and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of diploma/certification.)
• 8-10 years verifiable experience in an industrial maintenance role working with metal forming equipment or similar.
• Must live within or be willing to relocate to a reasonable safe commute to the San Carlos, CA plant.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of CNC's, motor controls, 480V 3 Phase electrical panels, servo motors, blower motors, etc.
• Advanced Industrial Electricity Experience and knowledge is required.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver ladders, forklifts, and man-lifts throughout an ongoing production environment, working at heights of up to 40'
• Ability to positively motive and direct 6-10 direct reports

Travel Requirements

• Less than 10% as needed to buy-off on new equipment and to visit or assist other DSI sites.
