Job Title: Controls Electrician Foreman
Position Summary: Perform minor troubleshooting repairs and adjustments to industrial /municipal water systems. Service / Fabricate industrial/municipal water systems.
Each job must be run with accuracy and timeliness as well as with understanding and abiding by safety guidelines established by OSHA standards.
Compensation: $30-$40 per hour DOE
Job Requirements:
- 5 years of related experience is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs. on a daily basis
- Must be willing and able to work Monday – Friday.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 75%
- Drug Screening (w random program) and criminal background checks are part of the hiring process.
- Qualified candidates should have thorough knowledge of the NEC
- Knowledge of effective use of proper lock out/tag out equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to read and interpret written and/or oral instructions.
- General plumbing, electrical, carpentry and welding experience helpful, but not necessary
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders and saws.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general construction tasks
- Oversee three-to-four-man crew
- Read and understand blueprints and build to specification instructions with precision and quality
- Ensure job is coordinated from start to finish to maximize efficiency and safety
- Maintain a safe and clean jobsite and provide JSA's
- Be responsible for managing and controlling costs for the financial cycle of the project including budget control and maintenance, financial tracking, reporting and bidding, proposal management, purchase orders, review and approval of vendor invoices, and project close-out
- Mount and wire up control panels to assembled equipment.
- Face Panel and all other tag and labeling engraving.
- Install switch gear and other electrical components.
- Installs wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment such as relays, and circuit breaker panels.
- Installs lighting panels and switches.
- Recognize and report hazards/ Apply safe work methods.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Maintain organized and clean work area.
- Keep parts for projects organized and tracked.
- Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas.
- Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
Performance Expectations:
Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed; develops good working relationships with the shop supervisor, co-workers and other employees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prefer at least 5 year of experience.
Working Conditions:
Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 80 pounds is required. Must be able to work outdoors at all times, which requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold and other conditions.
