Job Description
Purpose
Independently perform senior-level technical support within the maintenance department. Trains lower-level Technicians on more advanced tasks.
Work hours are Day shift, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. Shift is rotating 12 hour, 4 days on, 4 days off.
Responsibilities
- Work includes maintaining, repairing, overhauling, inspecting, lubricating, and troubleshooting a wide variety of pumps and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Does preventive maintenance work on all plant equipment including air handlers, utility distribution equipment located throughout AbbVie Lake County sites.
- May perform vibration analysis and balancing functions on rotating equipment. Work may be on new equipment or rearrangement and/or retrofitting of existing equipment and accessories
- Work as a multi-skill tradesperson, doing electrical, pipefitting, building maintenance.
- Adhere to AbbVie's code of conduct
- Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
- Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
- Capable of training others on tasks.
- Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
- Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
- Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
- Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
- Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
- Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
Qualifications
- HS diploma with 10+ years experience or relevant certificate with 5+ years experience; or Associates technical degree with 3+ years experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
- Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
