Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician Job Description As a Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead a team of service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for complex problems and managing projects. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in training and mentoring service and contract technicians. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems within the facility. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc. Create, assign, and close out work orders with detailed data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures and mentor junior technicians. Maintain a positive working relationship across all departments within the Operations facility. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 4+ years of experience with material handling equipment (MHE) such as automated conveyors and controls. 4+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance. 4+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics. 3+ years of experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs. Experience in a team lead capacity supporting, training, and mentoring technicians. Previous vendor management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields. Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Work Environment The role involves physical demands such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps/ladders, using an aerial lift, and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. You will perform tasks requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like hard hats, face masks, face shields, and composite toe shoes. The job requires regular movement between departments and properties, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day, and involves working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. You will also be required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day.
