Seasonal Maintenance Worker - potential to become Regular Employee

Established non-profit organization seeks seasonal outdoor maintenance worker to join our crew.

We have a full-time position for someone with experience with some or all of the following

equipment/duties:

Lawn and landscape care.

Litter collection, site clean-up.

Ability to work independently for short periods with minimal supervision.

Ability to take on assignments and complete them all in a timely fashion.

Ability to work with a diverse group of co-workers in a public setting.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift material and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Ability to remain standing for entire length of shift.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.

Compensation:

City of Buffalo Living Wage of $18.62/hour. Overtime pay for working on national holidays, and over 40/hours per week.

Paid sick time: up to 40 hours accrued/year at rate of 1 hour for each 30 hours worked.

Eligible for 401(k) participation after 1 year of employment and 1000 hours worked.

Shifts/Minimum Time Commitments:

Eight hour shifts. Five days per week. Days off may not be consecutive. Overtime may be required at times.

Preference given to City of Buffalo residents.
