MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime. This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and conducting necessary repairs on machinery, tools, and facility infrastructure. Maintenance Mechanics work closely with production teams, and other maintenance staff to support safe and efficient operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.

- Diagnose malfunctions and repair machinery, equipment, and systems.

- Fabricate, assemble, or modify mechanical components as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts inventory.

- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and support operational needs.

- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.

- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

- Follows Lock Out / Tag Out practices and policies

- Ability to safely operate forklifts

- Performs other duties as assigned
